Danville Youth Council

The mission of the Danville Youth Council (DYC) is to provide Middle and High School students the opportunity to represent the interests of their peers in the Danville area. The Danville Youth Council allows students to meet new people from around the area, get involved in the community, develop important life skills, participate in team building events, learn skills that can be used for college and job applications. They are looking for someone who is creative, dedicated, enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible. Members will create community programs and events, volunteer to those in need, encourage awareness of school issues, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and comfortable. The council meets once a month. Applications are generally accepted just once a year, usually in early April.
