East Bay SPCA

The East Bay SPCA wants to find a home for every adoptable dog and cat in Alameda County by the year 2007.  They do work with adoptions, as well as spay and neuter education.  They take in adoptable animals, work with other animal facilities and rescue groups. They have programs in Oakland and Dublin.  There are many different ways to volunteer.  Positions include:  dog trainer, puppy socializer, feline socializer, mobile adoption associate, dog groomer, feline groom, special events aide, photographer, website aide, gardener and foster parent. You must be 16 and be able to volunteer for a 2 hour shift at the same time and same day every week.  Volunteers must attend a three-hour orientation.  See their website for more details.

The East Bay SPCA has helped injured, lost and abandoned animals since 1874! They serve Alameda and Contra Costa Counties at sites in Dublin and Oakland.
