Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood more than 80 years ago when she was working as a nurse and a midwife in New York City. She was moved by the number of young girls who already had several children. Although it was illegal at that time, Ms. Sanger began the movement to bring contraception to the United States. Planned Parenthood works to reduce unintended 
pregnancies with the goal that every child is a wanted child and reaches to inform and educate on sexual health.
